At your pet’s pace If they’ve had enough, we stop and finish another day.

When the grooming salon is too much.

Older pets change. Joints get stiff, skin gets thin, eyesight and hearing fade, and a busy salon with dryers, other dogs and a long wait can leave them shaken for days.

Grey Whiskers comes to you. I work slowly, on the floor or the couch, wherever your pet is comfortable, with plenty of pauses. It’s the kind of care you’d give them yourself if you had the time and the clippers.

Stiff or arthritic
No standing on a table for an hour
Anxious or nervous

Questions owners ask

Do you do full breed cuts?

No. I focus on keeping older pets comfortable and clean: brushing, mats, nails and gentle trims. If your pet needs a full styled cut and can still manage a salon, I’m happy to recommend one.

What if my pet gets upset during grooming?

We pause, and if they don’t settle, we stop. You only pay for the time spent, and we finish on another visit.

Can you give my pet medication?

Yes, pills and liquids, following your vet’s instructions exactly. We’ll go through it together at the meet-and-greet.

How do you look after my keys and home?

Keys are labelled with a code, never your address, and returned or left as agreed. We’ll sign a short care agreement covering keys, emergency contacts and your vet’s details.

What happens in an emergency?

I contact you first, then take your pet to your vet (or the nearest emergency vet) as agreed in advance.

Let’s meet your old friend.

The first visit is free, and there’s no obligation.
